Work hard to discover your gift and you will never envy or hate another human being who are manifesting theirs.
Never exalt people because they’re your family; never exalt people because they’re your color; never exalt people because they’re your kinsfolk. Exalt them because they’re worthy.
Black leadership has to recognize that principles more than speech, character more than claim, is greater in advancing the cause of our liberation than what has happened thus far.

Segregation was something ugly but we made something good out of something ugly. Since we were not welcome in other places run by white people, we were forced by circumstances to let our dollars circulate in our own communities.
When you were young and I was young, there was a plethora of black businesses. But when white folks said,”Yes, come and spend your money with us,”we ran downtown when we could only pass through downtown. Now downtown has our money.

The requirement of this universally applicable law is that you must do unto others as you would have done unto yourself. When you wake up to that law that whatever you put out is going to come back.
Once you are sincere in your fast, you have a sensitivity to the hurt and pain of others who are poor, who are not eating well, who are in areas where there is drought and calamities.
We are not responsible for the behavior of anyone that goes contrary to what we teach, any more than the Pope of Rome or the Archbishop of Canterbury or a religious leader who teaches moral law and values can be charged with the errant behavior of a parishioner or congregant who may violate their moral teachings that is on the individual.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said no matter how much they attacked him and the Nation Of Islam under his leadership, they only helped the Nation to grow. So, the more they attacked me and the more I withstood that onslaught, the more thousands of people came out to, at least, hear a man that was being so vilified in the media. When they recognized that they were not hurting but helping me, they decided they wouldn’t say anything except to continue to discredit. So there is a conscious effort not to publicize anything that the Nation is doing of value.
Our success depends on us, our unity, and our willingness to submit to the will of Allah(God).
The Million Man March, in one day, helped to defeat all of the propaganda spread about black men throughout the world. The Million Man March would never have been successful if it were not for the women who stood with us and helped to organize to make the March what it eventually became.
Every human being is a Muslim by nature, not by religious practise. By nature!
Prayer is a ritual! But at the root of prayer is the idea of complete bowing down in submission to the Will of God.
